Varsity 8+ Wins ACC Crew of the Week

The Atlantic Coast Conference Crew of the Week honor is claimed by the Clemson University Varsity 8+ that competed against No. 13 Notre Dame and conference foe North Carolina last Wednesday. It was the second straight week a Clemson boat was honored by the ACC. The Novice 8+ won the honor last week.

The Tigers Varsity 8+ posted a time of 6:34.1, defeating the Fighting Irish who finished with a time of 6:36.9 and the Tar Heels who finished in 7:01.7. Overall, the Tigers took four of six races against the two schools.

The ACC Crew of the Week is comprised of Mary Nell Green, Alden Burley, Nicollette Burgess, Jen Wortman, Kathy Sickinger, Diana Ulrey, Kate Niebauer, Candice Woodward and coxswain Emily Kuivila.

The Tigers will next travel to Manhattan, KS to take on Kansas State & Iowa on Saturday, March 29.
