Clemson, SC – The Clemson rowing team will host Old Dominion for a dual regatta on Saturday morning at 9:00. After only racing in 1,500 meter pieces at home this season, the Tigers will compete in their first 2,000 meter race of the season on Lake Hartwell. The regatta will consist of four races, with 11 Tiger crews participating overall.
The morning will get underway with the Novice 8+ race in which Clemson will have two crews competing. The Novice 8+ is coming off an outstanding performance at the Pac-10 challenge, where they defeated UCLA and Stanford.
At 9:15 AM, four Varsity 4+ crews from Clemson will race a lone entry from Old Dominion. After a short break, the Novice 4+ crew will hit the water at 10:00 AM. This marks the first time this season that Clemson will field a Novice 4+ crew.
The Varsity 8+ race will conclude the morning’s events at 10:15 AM. The Tigers’ 14th ranked Varsity 8+ will face three other crews from Clemson in addition to ODU’s Varsity 8+.
