Tigers Place Eight on All-ACC Academic Team

CLEMSON, S.C. — Eight student-athletes from Clemson were named to the 2015 All-ACC Academic Rowing Team on Monday, the conference office announced. Six of the eight were previously announced as National Scholar-Athletes by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association. Clemson’s eight selections were second most among ACC schools in Monday’s release.

First-team All-ACC rower Samantha Duggan headlines Clemson’s group of eight selections. Duggan was also a CRCA National Scholar-Athlete, as well as a first-team All-Region performer this spring. She was joined on the All-ACC Academic Team by Stephannie Allen, Erin Ferguson, Milena Heuer, Becca Kretzer, Ashley Robinson, Anna Skochdopole and Paula Wesselmann.

Heuer was a second-team All-ACC performer in the spring, in addition to joining Duggan on the CRCA All-Region Team. Two of Clemson’s All-ACC Academic honorees — Ferguson and Skochdopole — were inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society in March.
