Tigers Defeat Eagles 2-0 in Saturday’s Spring Game

The Clemson women’s soccer team, 2014 NCAA Tournament particpants, held their second spring game Saturday, March 7 at Historic Riggs Field. The Tigers fell 2-1 in their first spring game at Florida but rebounded on Saturday to defeat Georgia Southern 2-0 on a beautiful, sunny afternoon in Clemson. Sophomore Catrina Atanda netted both goals in the team’s win, with both coming 15 minutes into the second half. Atanda led the Tigers in 2014 with nine goals scored.

Clemson’s next spring games are after spring break, on Sunday, March 29 against Duke and Tennessee in Winston-Salem, N.C. Clemson will play three home spring games on April 7 at 4:30 p.m. (Georgia State) and 7:15 (Furman).
