“Sudds Talk”

January 29, 2015

Anyone that has ever been on a team knows how important it is for the team to be like a family. Here at Clemson, we take that to heart. The Clemson University community prides itself on being the “Clemson Family” and the Clemson Athletic Department knows the importance of that, on individual teams and especially among student-athletes as a whole. One of the rowing team’s favorite things to do is to attend the Solid Orange Games. These are important home events for each team where other student-athletes are encouraged to go to attend and wear orange to show our fellow athletes support. This past weekend there were two Solid Orange Games, women’s basketball and track and field. This was track and field’s last home event this season, making it all the more important for us to go. At the women’s basketball game, the rowing Team made a special appearance by competing in the halftime show. Six teams of two players each faced off in shooting contests, which just proved we aren’t the best shooters. Despite this, it was a lot of fun being on the court in Littlejohn and watching our Clemson Lady Tigers play hard in an important ACC game. These Solid Orange Games truly show what it means to be a part of the Clemson Family and the special opportunity only a select few receive by getting to be Clemson student-athletes.
