• Formally entered the coaching ranks at his alma mater prior to the 2024 season as a defensive player development and assistant safeties coach.

• Named as Clemson’s safeties coach in January 2026.

• Part of a defensive staff at safety in 2025 that helped sophomore Ricardo Jones earn third-team All-ACC honors after he recorded six interceptions, tied for the second-most in the nation.

• Jones’ six interceptions in 2025 were the most by a Clemson player since DeAndre McDaniel’s school-record-tying eight interceptions in 2009.

• Was a standout safety at Clemson from 2016-21, accruing 259 tackles (13.5 for loss), 20 pass breakups, seven interceptions, 3.0 sacks and two forced fumbles over 65 career games with 25 starts.

• Contributed to five ACC title squads, five College Football Playoff berths, three national title game appearances and two national championships during his playing career.

• Five-year letterman and two-year team captain whose 65 career games ranked fourth in Clemson history at the time, trailing only three of his six-year “super senior” teammates.

• While battling injuries in his final season in 2021, he mentored eventual NFL Draft pick Andrew Mukuba to Freshman All-America and ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.

• Earned second-team All-American status from both the AFCA and USA Today in 2020.

• Made one of the most memorable plays in Clemson history when his interception of Justin Fields sealed Clemson’s 29-23 win against Ohio State in the 2019 Fiesta Bowl. Two of his seven career interceptions came in College Football Playoff semifinals.

• Made the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ active roster in 2022 as an undrafted free agent and played five games for the Buccaneers that season. Upon his departure from the Bucs in August 2023, he returned to Clemson intermittently during the 2023 season before electing to pursue coaching full-time time in 2024.

• Earned two degrees at Clemson including his bachelor’s degree in financial management in 2020 and his master’s degree in athletic leadership in 2021.

• Was an overlooked unranked recruit out of Vestavia Hills, Ala. Chose Clemson over a scholarship offer to UAB and a walk-on offer at Alabama.
