The Tiger rowing team will travel to Charlottesville, VA to compete in the fourth annual ACC Championships on Saturday April 19 on Lake Monticello. Clemson rowing hopes to improve on its third place finish from last year in this seasons competition.

Due to the course size of Lake Monticello only two boats can race in each event. Therefore the ACC Championships will include two boat heat races, followed by petite finals and finals for each event.

The last time on the water the Tigers raced in the San Diego Crew Classic. The Varsity 8+, Second Varsity 8+, and Novice 8+ all travel to San Diego for this regatta. Both the Varsity 8+ and Second Varsity 8+ advanced to the petite finals for their events. Racing in the Jessop-Whittier Cup, the Varsity 8+ took third in a time of 6:49.07. The Second Varsity 8+ also finished third in the petite finals of the Women’s JV race with a time of 7:01.41. The Novice 8+ finished fifth in their heat of the Women’s Collegiate Novice event in 8:05.05.

Following this weekends regatta, the Tigers will host Tennessee and Washington State on April 27 on Lake Hartwell.
