Rowing to Compete at Head of the Tennessee

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson rowing novice 8+ teams will travel to Knoxville, TN, to compete at the Head of the Tennessee this Saturday. The Tigers will have three boats (a, b, c) race in the Collegiate Novice 8+ event beginning at 9:05 a.m.

Last year, the novice Tigers competed against Drake, UT Chattanooga, NC State, Emory, Murray, Georgia State, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Tulane, Vanderbilt and Northwestern State. Clemson took second and fifth in the 1999 regatta. The first Head of the Tennessee was in 1975 and this year’s regatta will be staged out of Sequoyah Park on the Tennessee River.
