From The Desk of Dan Radakovich – April 2020

First, let me begin my expressing my best wishes for the health and safety of you and your families during these challenging times. The Clemson Family is here to support one another in times of need, so please do not hesitate to reach out if we can be of any assistance.

In Athletics, we continue to do all that we can to ensure the safety of our student-athletes, coaches and fans, and urge everyone to adhere to the guidelines set forth by our government and health leaders.

I want to thank you for your continued support of Clemson Athletics and IPTAY and I want to provide you with a brief update on the approach that we are taking to minimize the financial consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

You may hear or read about actions athletic departments across the country are taking to help offset the potential for a significant drop in revenue. Within Clemson Athletics, we are working hard every day on contingency plans with our internal and campus staffs and experts. We know that there are important questions from our staff, coaches and generous supporters as to our plans. We will be measured in our response and we will be transparent in sharing any decisions and the rationale behind them.

Clemson has always been a little bit different – we take pride in that.  We will always act in the best short and long-term interests of Clemson and our people. It is not as important for us to be first as it is for us to be right.

Today is National Student-Athlete Day, and it is a great reminder of why we do what we do and what your support means to so many.  I’ve reached out to our Tigers with the video message below and I thought I would share it with you.  We look forward to the day we can welcome you back to campus again.
