Clemson Women’s Soccer Adds Signee

CLEMSON, SC-Lauren Johnston, a goalkeeper from Denver, CO, has signed a national letter-of-intent to play soccer for the Clemson Women’s Soccer team as announced by Head Coach Todd Bramble Monday afternoon.

Johnston attends Denver East High School and played for the Colorado Rush Soccer Club. She participated in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) Regional Camp in 2000, 2001 and 2002. Whe was also a member of the ODP state team for several seasons. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has been named to the Honor Roll for the last three years.

Johnston has played varsity soccer for Denver East High School and was named all-city. She won the Golden Glove Award was a Region IV ODP Champion.

“Lauren is a perfect fit for our program and university. We are lucky to add a goalkeeper of her calibre to our program at this stage of the recruiting process,” said Clemson Head Coach Todd Bramble. “To achieve our program’s goals, we need depth and competition at every position and Lauren has now ensured we will have great goalkeeping here for the next four years.”
