Clemson University Releases 2010-2011 Rowing Schedule

The 2010-2011 rowing schedule was announced Thursday by Head Coach Robbie Tenenbaum. The schedule features four home regattas, highlighted by the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships on April 23.

Clemson opens the season this weekend with a trip to Gainesville, GA to participate in the Lake Lanier Sprints on Saturday. The Tigers then wrap up the fall portion of the schedule with their annual trip to Chattanooga, TN on November 6-7 for the Head of the Chattahoochee.

The spring portion of the schedule begins on March 5 with the Tigers hosting Eastern Michigan and Northeastern University in the first of three home regattas. The Tigers host Bucknell University on March 12 and Duke, Indiana, Boston University, Marist, Purdue and Alabama the following weekend.

The Tigers then travel to Columbus, OH on April 3 for the ACC/Big Ten Duel where they will face Ohio State and Michigan. After a week off, the Tigers hit the road again on April 16 to face the University of Southern California, the University of Texas and UCLA in Charlottesville, VA.

On April 23, Clemson plays host to the ACC Championships for the second straight season. The Tigers look to reclaim the conference title captured in 2009.

Clemson closes out the regular season on May 15 in Oak Ridge, TN where they will face Louisville and Notre Dame at the ACC/Big East Duel before traveling to Sacramento, CA on May 27-29 for the NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships.
