Clemson to Host ACC Rowing

CLEMSON, S.C. — The 18th annual ACC Rowing Championship is set for Sunday, May 14 on Lake Hartwell. Clemson will compete against eight schools in five 2,000-meter sprints, with prelims scheduled for the morning and finals in the late afternoon. ACC Network Extra will broadcast the event, with live coverage beginning at 8 a.m. for prelims and 5:30 p.m. for finals.

Three schools carry top-20 CRCA national rankings into Sunday’s competition, Virginia (11), Syracuse (13) and Duke (17). The Cavaliers have won 16 of 17 ACC titles.

Lane assignments for the finals will be determined by the finishing order from the qualifying heats, set for 8:05 a.m. Sunday. The grand finals of each event will feature the top three finishers from each heat, and will culminate with the First Varsity 8+ showdown at 7:25 p.m. An awards ceremony honoring the team champion and All-ACC individuals will follow shortly after.
