Clemson Rowing’s Varsity 8+ Boat Named ACC Crew of the Week

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson rowing team’s varsity 8+ boat claimed this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference Crew of the Week honors for its performance in the Jessop-Whittier Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic. The varsity 8+ finished fifth in the event and defeated several top-ranked teams. Clemson posted a time of 7:13.84 in the grand finals as the 26th-ranked Tigers defeated #24 Washington State, #29 San Diego State, Villanova, Sacramento State, #14 Notre Dame and #18 Texas.

The ACC Crew of the Week is comprised of Aimee Fox, Lucy Doolittle, Megan McGuirt, Katherine Sloan, Farrell Finstad, Lauren Henne, Kathy Sickinger, Lisa Mischley and coxswain Gail Cadorniga.

The Clemson rowing team returns to action Apr. 14 at the Ohio State Invitational.
