CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson rowing team will travel to Los Angeles, CA to compete against UCLA and Southern California on Saturday, April 10. The event will be divided into a morning session (8:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.) and an afternoon session (4:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.).
Clemson will race UCLA in the morning session. The Tigers and Bruins will compete in five races as each school’s Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, Varsity Four, Novice Eight and Second Varsity Four boats will compete against each other.
The afternoon session will feature the Tigers against Southern California. Each school’s Novice Eight, Varsity Four, Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Eight will compete.
“It is a special opportunity to travel to Los Angeles and race programs of the caliber of UCLA and Southern Cal,” said Head Coach Richard Ruggieri. “The trip west has gone well and we are preparing to race our very best. It is an exciting opportunity and we will give it our all.”
The Tigers are coming off of a successful regatta against Ohio State and Michigan where they won six out of nine races. The Varsity Four and Novice Eight boats each won both of their races.
