RALEIGH, N.C. – The Clemson Tigers rowing team finished their regular season on Saturday, April 27th at the Lake Wheeler Invite in Raleigh, N.C. The Tigers finished the weekend with two second place, two third place, eight fourth place, two fifth place, and one sixth place finish. Earning all of their points in round one, Clemson totaled 10 points at the invite.
On the second day of the Lake Wheeler Invite, Clemson found themselves in the middle and back of the pack, as they placed fourth in three of the five races, fifth in one and sixth in another. In all five races, Clemson competed against Duke, Syracuse, Penn, UNC and Georgetown. Clemson’s 3v8’s kicked off round three with a fourth place finish at 7:08.518. Next, the Tiger’s 2v4 placed sixth at 7:57.834. Clemson then came back to fourth place in their 1v4 race as they finished in 7:31.583 minutes. After that, the Tigers, 1v4 finished fifth with a 7:00.946 time. Lastly, Clemson’s 1v8 placed fourth at 6:49.373.
Next, Clemson will return to Lake Wheeler in several weeks for the ACC Championship on May 17th and 18th where they will look to improve from last year’s sixth place finish.
