RALEIGH, N.C. – The Clemson Tigers’s two second place finishes in the morning session highlighted day one of Clemson’s performance at the Lake Wheeler Invite in Raleigh, N.C. on Friday, April 26. “The team showed a lot of grit today,” said Head Coach Stephen Frazier Wong. “Our 1V4 led the way for us putting together two consecutive podium finishes. They are a new combination so we’re really proud of how they stepped up. Next the 1V8 and the 3V8 both had top three finishes in the morning’s racing to also score points for our team. The 2V8 is also a new lineup this week and they showed great improvement after only three practices together. Our 2V4 also stepped up in their afternoon race to finish in front of Boston College in a battle to try to secure a better seeding in the ACC Championship in three weeks. It was truly an exciting day and we can’t wait for round three tomorrow.”
