Clemson Rowing to Race in the Head of the Hooch

The Tiger rowing team will travel to Gainesville, GA on Saturday to defend their championship title in the Head of the Hooch regatta on Lake Lanier. Clemson rowing will face ACC rival Duke as well as crews from Miami, Tennessee, and Texas in the largest fall regatta in the southeast.

Clemson rowers will participate in six events at this weekend’s regatta. The novice will race two boats in the Freshmen Novice 8+ and one in the Collegiate and Club Novice 8+. Clemson’s varsity rowers will compete in the Women’s Club 4+, the Women’s Championship 4+, the Women’s Club 8+ and the Women’s Championship 8+ races.

Most recently, Clemson rowing’s varsity 8+ boat competed in the 38th-annual Head of the Charles in Boston, MA. The Tigers posted a time of 17:48.8 to finish 27th out of 46 teams.

The Tigers will conclude the fall season on November 10 when they travel to Charlottesville, VA to compete in the Rivanna Romp.
