Clemson Rowing to Open Fall Season at the Lanier Night Sprints

Clemson, SC – The fall season will get underway for the Clemson rowing team on Saturday with a trip to Gainesville, GA to compete in the Lanier Night Sprints. The Tigers are slated to enter eight boats in the regatta, which will begin at 8:00 pm.

The Tigers are entering four boats in the Women’s Open 4+ races and four boats in the Women’s Open 8+ race. In the Women’s Open 4+ division, two Tiger boats are set to take on Georgia State and conference rival Wake Forest in the first of two heats, beginning at 8:00 pm. The second heat features two more Clemson boats taking on Georgia State, beginning at 8:08 pm.

The Tigers are the only participants in the Women’s Open 8+ race with all four Clemson boats racing against one another, beginning at 9:04 pm.

Clemson returns to action on November 6 when they travel to Chattanooga, TN to participate in the Head of the Chattahoochee regatta.
