Clemson Rowing Signs Seven in Fall Period

Clemson rowing head coach Susie Lueck has announced the signing of seven rowers in the fall recruiting period, including four who have club rowing experience.

Elizabeth Averyt of Westerville OH is a member of the Westville Crew, Magaret Gattis of Ann Arbor, MI, belongs to the Huron Rowing Association, Katie Sovik of Alexandria, VA, rows for TC Williams Rowing and Sarah Tiedge of Pelham, NY, is a member of the Norwalk River Rowing Association.

Joining them as freshman for the 2003-2004 season are Patsy Ashmore of Burke, VA, Laura Nichols of Tallahassee, FL and Jayme Van Erden of Fairfax Station, VA.

“We are excited about the future of Clemson Rowing. Our signees will be significant contributors to the team as the program continues to become more competitive nationally,” said Lueck. These signees have made a commitment to be the future Tiger champions who will carry on the tradition of excellence that our current Tigers have established and continue to build.”
