Clemson Rowing Holds Class Day Regatta

CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson rowing team participated in the annual Class Day Regatta Sunday afternoon on Lake Hartwell. Each boat dressed in theme, and the classes competed against each other.

The junior class (dressed as Tommy Bowden and the Tiger football team) defeated the sophomore class (dressed as Crayons) to win the Class Day regatta. The juniors finished the 2,000m course with a time of 6:52 while the sophomores finished with a time of 7:00.

In the freshman race, the “Bugs” finished first with a time of 8:14 followed by the “Native Americans” with a time of 8:32. The “Blind Mice” boat finished with a time of 9:20.

“This was an exciting day with good competition and lots of fan support,” said head coach Susie Lueck.

The Clemson rowing team competes at the Head of the Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn., on Oct. 28.
