Clemson Rowing Defeats Villanova

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson rowing team competed in the Clemson Challenge Saturday morning against Villanova on Lake Hartwell.

In the novice 8+ race, the Tigers finished first with an unofficial time of 7:15.0. The second novice 8+ also claimed first-place, finishing with a time of 7:31.8.

Clemson’s varsity 8+ boats also swept the top spots in each of their races. The varsity 8+ completed the course in 6:45.6, while the second varsity 8+ finished in 6:47.2.

The Tigers’ varsity four teams placed first and second. Clemson’s first-place boat finished with a time 7:52.4, and the second-place boat finished with a time of 8:01.7.

The Clemson rowing team returns to action on Lake Hartwell for the Clemson Invitational next Saturday, March 16th.
