Clemson Rowing Announces Two Newcomers

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson Head Women’s Rowing Coach Richard Ruggieri, announced the addition of two new members of the Women’s Rowing Team. The class brings a lot of experience and depth to the team.

“It is good to see that Clemson Rowing has the ability to attract rowers like Beata and Zofia. The support from our athletic department allows us to develop athletes from diverse backgrounds both athletically and academically. Whether you are a World Champion, National Team member or a walk-on athlete the message at Clemson remains the same: dedicate yourself to your University, team and being your best. Ultimately, we are all here to learn, grow and make good decisions daily. Beata and Zofia will certainly add to our program and team.”

Beata Saska: Beata is from Esztergom, Hungary, and the Hungarian National Rowing Team. Beata finished in 5th place at the 2009 U23 World Rowing Championships, and she finished in 11th place at the 2008 Junior World Rowing Championships. Beata is working towards her degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management.
