Clemson Recognizes Student-Athletes at Team Banquet

CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson rowing team gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of the team both on and off the water during the 2018-2019 school year. In addition to the seven annual team awards given out, the seniors class continued a team tradition and gave speeches to their teammates and coaches reflecting on their time at Clemson.

 

Coach’s Award

This individual brings 100% attitude, energy, effort and focus to practice everyday.

Varsity – Elise Sum

Novice – Auburn Dantice

Determined Spirit Award

An individual that showed outstanding perseverance whether athletic or personal and as a result achieved excellence in regard to their efforts.

Rebekah Stein

Gause Most Improved Award

An individual who makes the most improvement from the start of the year to the final race.

Varsity – Bridget Kane

Novice – Ella Starr

Lisa Reid Most Inspirational Award

This individual’s effort, enthusiasm, and positive leadership by example at practice and competition inspired her teammates to achieve more every day. 

Makenna Farr

Lucy Doolittle Rower of the Year Award

This athlete is a fearless competitor who has dedicated herself to achieving excellence.  Her drive to perform at the highest level has served as an inspiration to her teammates and coaches.
