Clemson Fans Invited to meet the Tiger Soccer Team in Raleigh

CLEMSON, SC–Clemson fans in the Raleigh, NC area are invited to meet the Tiger men’s soccer team on Thursday, December 8 at 8:30 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1500 RDU Center Drive in Morrisville, NC.

“As the team prepares for their National Semi-Final game on Friday (6:30 pm ESPNU TV), we thought it was important to set time aside where the players could thank the Tiger fans who are making the trip to the Final Four and at the same time allow the players a chance to relax with their family and friends prior to final preparations,” said Clemson Head Men’s Soccer Coach Trevor Adair.

“We our excited about having an opportunity to play for a National Championship and we encourage everyone to wear orange all weekend,” said Adair.

The Clemson men’s soccer team will play New Mexico Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the semifinals of the NCAA Men’s Soccer College Cup at the SAS Soccer Park in Cary, NC.

Clemson has a 15-5-3 record overall this season. The Tigers are led in scoring by Dane Richards with 11 goals and eight assists for 30 points.

SMU will play Maryland at 4:00 p.m. on Friday in the other semifinal match.

The SMU-Maryland match will be televised live on ESPN 2 and ESPN U. The Clemson-New Mexico match will be televised live on ESPN U only.

The championship match on Sunday, December 11 will be televised live on ESPN 2

This will be the seventh time that Clemson has played in the NCAA Final Four. The Tigers won the National Championship in 1984 and 1987.
