On Wednesday, September 16, 2020, the NCAA Division I Council extended the all-sports temporary recruiting dead period through Friday, January 1, 2021. During a dead period, NCAA rules prohibit in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations on or off a Division I campus. Also, official and unofficial visits by prospective student-athletes to DI campuses are prohibited during this time. Additionally, prospective student-athletes may not be given access to athletics facilities to which the general public does not have access. Lastly, institutional staff members may not facilitate or encourage prospective student-athletes to meet in person with student-athletes.
