Clemson Adds Three Players to Women’s Soccer Program

Jan. 30, 2007

CLEMSON, SC–Three women’s soccer players have enrolled at Clemson this semester and will join the Lady Tigers during spring practice according to an announcement by Head Coach Todd Bramble.

The three players are Erin Moskos (M/F, Cucamonga, CA), Abby Lambert (D, Basking Ridge, NJ) and Judea Davis (F/M, Clemson, SC).

“We are excited to continue the trend of having players start here a semester early,” said Bramble. “These three young ladies have already stepped in and demonstrated they belong at this level. To have accelerated their high school studies speaks to their motivation as students. Training and playing games with our team this semester will pay dividends on the soccer field as well.”

Moskos graduated from Los Osos High School and played for Head Coach Joe Kulm. Named all-league three seasons. Moskos was named MVP defender for her school team. Named to the California Interscholastic Federation Scholarship Athlete for four years. Led her high school team to a conference championship. Played for the Arsenal Football Club Premier team. Her club team won the United States Soccer National Championship and the California Premier League State Championship.

Her brother, Daniel Moskos plays baseball for Clemson and a Cousin, Michael Wade plays football for the Tigers.

“Erin’s biggest asset right now is her versatility,” said Bramble. “She is comfortable on the ball even when the game is very fast and we love her quickness. Playing in a wide position, she has the ability to play in the back, midfield or up front.”

Abby Lambert was named All-Conference and All-County at Ridge High School. She was a New Jersey State ODP team member. Lambert was her teams’ outstanding academic achievement award and was the recipient of the coaches’ award. She helped lead her high school team to the state championship and to the conference and county championships. She played for the PDA Fury Club team. Her club team won the NJ State National Series Championships in 2004, 2005, and 2006, and the Las Vegas College Showcase Tournament Championship in 2006. Her club team was the USYSA National Championships Series Finalists in 2005, and the Region 1 Champions in 2004 and 2005. They also were the Region 1 Premier League Champions in 2003 and 2005. The PDA Fury Club team was the PDA Girls College Showcase tournament Champions.

“Abby brings a wealth of experience and a great foundation from one of the best youth clubs in the country (PDA),” said Bramble. “We are looking for her to compete for the left back position immediately. Having the spring to learn the functions of the position within our system should help her to see playing time as a freshman.”

Judea Davis was a member of the South Carolina state ODP team. She was also a member of the St. Stephen’s Soccer Academy Team, coached by Bobby Murphy. Davis helped lead CESA, Carolina Elite Soccer Association, coached by Andrew Hyslop to the state championship in 2005 and 2006. Davis is a graduate of Daniel High School in Clemson.

“Judea comes from the top club in South Carolina (CESA) and is blessed with phenomenal athletic ability,” said Bramble. “With her pure speed and strength, she is ready to compete in the ACC. As her technique improves and we determine which position to best use her tools, we think she will be a force to be reckoned with in the near future.”
