CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson University softball senior shortstop Ansley Gilstrap was named a 2019 National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Athlete of the Year, announced by the NSCA.

“We are incredibly proud of Ansley for being recognized as an NSCA 2019 All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year,” said head coach John Rittman. “Our entire team showed great improvements in the weight room this year and Ansley definitely helped set the bar with her outstanding work ethic and her commitment to consistently give maximum effort. She is tremendously competitive and has helped us build a solid foundation in preparation for our inaugural season.”
