#17 Rowing Heads West to Face #2 Cal, #9 Stanford and Oregon State

REDWOOD SHORES, CA – The 17th-ranked Clemson women’s rowing team will travel to Redwood Shores, CA to take on second-ranked Cal, ninth-ranked Stanford and Oregon State beginning Saturday morning at 9:10 AM local time (12:10 PM eastern). The Tigers will compete in the state of California for the 13th straight season.

“Our team has been training and racing great this season, but this will be our first road test of the year,” said Clemson Head Coach Robbie Tenenbaum. “We are really looking forward to racing against Stanford, California and Oregon State this weekend. We have great respect for the Pac-12 rowing programs and our team is looking forward to a fantastic weekend of racing at Redwood Shores.”

The Tigers will things going Saturday morning at 9:10 AM when they take on #9 Stanford in the 1st Varsity 8+ race. Clemson will then go head-to-head with Stanford at 9:40 in the 2nd Varsity 8+ race, 10:10 in the 1st Varsity 4+ race, and 10:40 in the 1st Novice 8+ race.

Saturday afternoon, Clemson will compete at #2 Cal beginning at 3:00 PM with the 1st Varsity 8+ race. The Tigers and the Golden Bears will then matchup in the 2nd Varsity 8+ race at 3:30 and the 1st Varsity 4+ race at 4:00 before wrapping up for the day with the 1st Novice 8+ race at 4:30.

Clemson will then return to the water Sunday morning to take on Oregon State. The Tigers will go against the Beavers in the 1st Varsity 8+ race at 9:20 AM followed by the 2nd Varsity 8+ race at 9:40. The two will then send their 1st Varsity 4’s to the water at 10:20 ahead of their 1st Novice 8’s at 10:40.

This will be Clemson’s first regatta away from Lake Hartwell after starting the season with three straight home regattas.
