TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Clemson Women’s Tennis team (10-7, 1-5 ACC) fell to No. 42 Florida State (10-6, 4-3 ACC) on Sunday, 4-0.
In doubles, courts two and one fell to FSU after fighting hard, 6-2 and 6-4, respectively. On court three, Sophia Hatton and Alina Tsyurpalevych played out and won their match 6-4.
In singles, Daniella Medvedeva retired in the first set, giving FSU the advantage 2-0. Leigh Van Zyl had a shining moment on her day, winning her first set 7-5. Shortly after, Sophia Hatton fell on court five, 6-0, 6-0, and Jenna Thompson fell on court four, 6-1, 6-4.
