WTEN: Parravicini and Smejkalova Named to 2025 All-ACC Third Team for Doubles

Doubles Duo Named to All-ACC Third Team

CLEMSON, S.C.– Clemson Women’s Tennis freshman Gaia Parravicini from Bollate, Italy and Amelie Smejkalova from Zlin, Czech Republic have been named to the 2025 All-ACC Third Team for doubles as announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon. This is the first all-conference selection for both of the student-athletes.

The duo is ranked No. 42 in the nation and is 13-7 in doubles play and is 3-3 against nationally-ranked opponents. They primarily competed on court one. Most notably during the regular season the pair upset the No. 1 ranked duo of Melodie Collard and Isabelle Lacy, 6-1, from No. 2 Virginia and the No. 2 ranked duo of Gabrielle Broadfoot and Maddy Zamprado, 6-4, from No. 11 NC State. This marks the first time since the implementation of the new voting system in 2023 that a pair of Tigers had been named to the All-ACC team.

The Tigers now have a total of 73 selections to the All-ACC team and are third in all-time selections just behind Duke (127) and North Carolina (100). The last time the Tigers had an All-ACC Selection was 2021 when then-freshman Eleni Louka was named to the third team.

The No. 36 ranked Tigers finished the regular season 14-11 and 4-9 in conference play and are looking to make the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2018. The selection show will take place on Monday, April 28 at 5:00 p.m. (ET), and anyone can tune in to NCAA.com to watch the selection show.
