CLEMSON, S.C.– The Clemson Women’s Tennis completed their first Fall season tournament at the Debbie Southern Furman Fall Classic.
Sophie Clayton recorded her first win of the fall after defeating Molly Robinson of Furman 6-0, 6-2 to grab the first win of the fall for the Tigers.
Thoughts from Head Coach Boomer Saia:
“Furman is always a spectacular tournament with a very deep field. Kinsey and Sophie battled through the weekend and we put ourselves in some good positions. We learned a lot through the weekend as a staff and have a great idea on the direction we need to head with our development. We’re excited to host our next tournament the Duckworth Duels the first weekend of October!”
Next up, a few Tigers will attend the ITA All-Americans tournament in Cary, N.C. The tournament will take place from Saturday, September 20th through Sunday, September 28th.
