Women’s Tennis to Open ACC Play at No. 10 Miami

The Clemson women’s tennis team will take on No. 10 Miami (5-1) in Coral Gables, FL at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center on Sunday at 10:30 AM. The dual match is No. 34 Clemson’s seventh straight away from home this season, as the Tigers (7-4) are in the midst of a stretch of play 11 of 12 away from home. Miami will be the second straight top-ten opponent that the Tigers will meet, and the fifth top-25 team that Clemson has played in the past sixth matches. Clemson has dropped four of the past five matches. Each team has three players currently ranked among the top 125 in the nation in singles, led by Romy Kölzer is also having a solid spring, with a 10-2 record to start her career.The Hurricanes hold a 23-4 all-time mark against Clemson, and have won 12 in a row in the series. Three Hurricanes players also rank among the nation’s best, with Anna Bartenstein checking in at No. 12 nationally, Gabriela Mejia at No. 25, and freshman Lina Lileikite earning her first ranking at No. 118. Clemson will play at No. 16 Georgia Tech on Mar. 7 before returning home for a match with Florida State.
