Women’s Tennis Prepares for Qualifying Rounds at ITA/Riviera All-American Championships

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA – Clemson women’s tennis has been competing at the ITA/ Riviera All-American Championships, the premier fall tournament for collegiate tennis. The main draws will take place from Oct. 8-11 at the Riviera Club in Pacific Palisades, CA.

Ina Hadziselimovic will play Pazo and Muci of Florida International in the qualifying round.

All singles and doubles players must win three rounds in order to advance to the main draw. Josipa Bek has already secured a place in the main singles draw by virtue of her #9 ranking. All other singles and doubles must qualify for the main draw through the qualifying rounds.

In prequalifying singles action, #99 Ina Hadziselimovic fell to Allie Will of Florida, 7-6(6), 6-1. Laurianne Henry lost to Alexa Guarachi of Alabama, 6-1, 6-2, and Estefania Balda fell to Stephanie Hammel of UC-Irvine, 6-4, 6-2. In doubles, Balda and Henry fell to Lutflana Budiharto and Stephanie Dalmacio of Wichita State, 8-0.
