Women?s Tennis Opens NCAA Play Friday at 1 p.m.

CLEMSON, S.C. – The 13th-seeded Clemson women’s tennis team will open the 2014 NCAA Team Championships against CAA Champion UNCW (17-3) on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center. Clemson (20-6) is the regional host for the eighth time in the last ten seasons, and will also welcome Winthrop (18-4) and Auburn (16-10), who play their First Round match at 10 a.m. Friday.  The Second Round will take place on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center, with the winner advancing to the round of 16 in Athens, Ga. on May 15 against the winner of the (4) Duke regional. Tickets are available at the courts and cost $5 for adults and $3 for students with ID and younger. Clemson is making its 13th consecutive NCAA Team Championship, and the 15th in 17 seasons under ACC Coach of the Year Nancy Harris.
