Clemson wrapped up the second day of play at the Furman Fall Classic and the opening day of play at the Riviera ITA All-American in Pacific Palisades, CA on Saturday. As a whole, members of the team won eight of their ten matches, led by junior Romy Koelzer’s win in singles and doubles in the Prequalifying (PQ) tournaments at the All-American.  Other two-time winners on Saturday were Joana Eidukonyte, Ani Miao, and Tristen Dewar, who each won a singles and a doubles match at the Furman Fall Classic in Greenville, SC.  At the All-American, Koelzer defeated Rutuja Bhosale of Texas A&M, 6-3, 6-3 in her season debut. The junior from Betzdorf, Germany then teamed with Jessy Rompies for an 8-5 win over Begley and Batra of Texas in the first round of the doubles PQ draw. Rompies fell in her singles debut in three sets to No. 113 Nikki Sanders of Texas Tech, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2.  In Greenville, Eidukonyte won her match over Ansley Speaks of Furman, 6-1, 7-5, to advance to the flight three finals Sunday against Ashleigh Antal of Vanderbilt. Ani Miao defeated Ellen Silver of Iowa, 6-3, 6-0 to advance to the 5th-place match on Sunday. Tristen Dewar and Carola Pederzani each took singles wins over players from Florida State. Dewar won, 6-4, 6-3 over Majlena Pedersen, and Pederzani took down Laurence Porry, 5-7, 6-2, 7-6.  In doubles play, Yana Koroleva and Dewar fell to 56th-ranked Henderson and Williams from Tennessee, 8-2, in the flight one finals, just a day after knocking off the No. 6 tandem in the nation. Koroleva will fly to California in the middle of the week to take part in the Main Draw of the All-American.  Beatrice Gumulya and Eidukonyte defeated Martin and Bryde of Furman, 8-3 to take 5th place in flight two, and Pederzani and Miao took 7th place with an 8-3 win over Looney and Martin of South Carolina.  Singles finals in the Fall Classic will be Sunday, while the PQ tournament in California continues through Monday.   Saturday Furman Fall Classic Results Doubles Third Round F1 Championship Match #56 Henderson/Williams (UT) def.
