Women’s Soccer Team Receives NCAA Tournament Bid

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s soccer team received a bid to the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament as announced late Sunday night.

The Lady Tigers are seeded seventh in the tournament and will receive a first-round bye. Clemson will play the winner of the Missouri-Marquette match Saturday night, November 13, at 7:00 p.m. on Riggs Field.

Clemson has a 13-6-1 record overall and a 4-3 mark in the ACC.

Freshman Deliah Arrington leads the Lady Tigers in scoring with nine goals and seven assists for 25 points. Beth Keller has eight goals and seven assists for 23 points.

Clemson is ranked eighth according to the NSCAA poll and 15th in the Soccer America poll as of November 1.

Beth Keller and Nancy Augustyniak were named first team All-ACC, while Julie Augustyniak was named second-team All-ACC.

This is the sixth straight season Clemson has been invited to the NCAA Tournament. This is also only the sixth season that Clemson has fielded a women’s soccer team.

News
