Women’s Soccer Downs South Carolina, 4-0

CLEMSON, S.C. — Freshman Deliah Arrington (Pawleys Island, SC) scored two goals and teammate Beth Keller (Hilton Head, SC) had one goal and one assist in leading ninth-ranked Clemson to a 4-0 win over South Carolina in a women’s intercollegiate soccer match at Clemson, SC Friday night.

With the win, Clemson improves to 9-3-1 this season, while South Carolina falls to 9-3 this year. The Lady Tigers are ranked ninth by Soccer America and 10th in the NSCAA poll.

Arrington is Clemson’s leading scorer this season with seven goals and five assists for 19 points. Keller now has five goals and one assist this season.

This was the fifth meeting between the two schools in women’s soccer in the series. Clemson has won four of the matches and have outscored the Gamecocks 21-4 in the series.

The Lady Tigers will play host to UNC-Greensboro Tuesday, October 12, in Clemson’s next action.
