Women’s Soccer Defeats Princeton, 1-0

CLEMSON, SC — Beth Keller (Hilton Head, SC) scored the game’s only goal in leading seventh-ranked Clemson to a 1-0 win over Princeton in the second game of the Clemson/Nike Women’s Soccer Tournament at Clemson, SC Friday night.

Clemson is now 5-0 on the year, while Princeton is now 0-1 this season. Clemson is ranked seventh in the NSCAA Poll and eight in the Soccer America listing.

Keller scored on a direct kick from 25 yards out from the middle at the 39:54 mark. This was Keller’s second goal of the season.

Furman will play Princeton at 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning and Clemson will play Richmond at 2:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon in the final day of the tournament.
