CLEMSON, SC–Lindsey Beam and Elizabeth Jobe both have enrolled at Clemson University this semester and will join the women’s soccer team as announced by Head Coach Todd Bramble Friday.

Both players accelerated their studies in order to graduate a semester early from high school (December, 2003) and are currently enrolled in their first semester at Clemson.

She has been a member of the South Carolina Olympic Development Program (ODP) team from 1996 to the present and also a member of the Region III ODP team from 1999 to the present. She was also a member of the National Pool in 1999-2002. She was also named the SCHSCA State Player of the year in 2001 and 2002.

Jobe is from Roswell, GA and graduated from Roswell High School. She is a central midfielder/defender. She has been a member of the Georgia ODP team since 1996 and the Region III ODP team since 1998. She was also a member of the National Pool in 1998-2002. She was also a member of the National U16 team in 2000.

“These young ladies would have been considered among the top recruits in the region for next year’s class,” said Clemson Head Women’s Soccer Coach, Todd Bramble.

“They have been mainstays on the regional ODP team for many years and both have also attended several youth national team camps.

“The fact that they are with us this spring will give them a head start adjusting to the college level. They have proven to be excellent students as well as soccer players, but I am most comfortable knowing that they are wonderful people.”
