The Kansas City Wizards drafts Pablo Webster in the fourth round of the 2001 MLS Super draft. Pablo is originally from Columbia, MD and he made an immediate impact as soon as he stepped on the Clemson campus. As a freshman, he started in 18 games for the Tigers as a back.

The Los Angeles Galaxy drafts another Tiger backfield star in Mike Potempa. He was the 9th selection of the sixth round of the 2001 MLS Super Draft. Mike came to Clemson from Hunt Valley, MD and started all 21 games as a true freshman. He received All-ACC accolades during his tenure at Clemson and will surely be a great asset for the Galaxy.
