Trahan Continues to Lead Golfweek Amateur Rankings

Clemson, SC – Clemson rising senior D.J. Trahan continues to rank number-one in the latest World Amateur Rankings according to Golfweek magazine. Trahan has had the top spot all summer based on his play within the last year that has included three amateur tournament victories, plus a victory at the NCAA East Regional in May. He won the South Carolina Amateur earlier this month.

Clemson sophomore Jack Ferguson has had an outstanding summer and is now ranked 24th in the latest poll. He jumped 10 spots this week after finishing second at the Cardinal Amateur in Greensboro, NC over the weekend. He had a 202 total to finish in second place behind ACC Champion Dustin Bray, a golfer at North Carolina by two shots.

Trahan will next play in the US Amateur at Oakland Hills in Michigan on Monday. He will be joined by Clemson red-shirt freshman Brian Duncan, who made it through qualifying to compete in the event.
