Clemson, S.C. – Clemson turned in a 292 (+4) to tie for first with Illinois after the first round of the Clemson Invitational, on the par-72, 6,386-yard course at The Reserve at Lake Keowee. The No. 34 Tigers finished ahead of 11 ranked teams after the first round.
Savannah Grewal led Clemson individually, finishing with a 70 (-2) to sit in a tie for third. The Mississauga, Ontario, native fought the wind to birdie two of her last three holes to finish under par. Annabelle Pancake finished at +1, sitting in a tie for 15th, while Callista Rice finished even on the back nine to shoot a 74 on the afternoon (+2) and sit in a tie for 21st. Melena Barrientos (75) is tied for 30th and Katherine Schuster finished tied for 96th (82).
Individually, Gabriella Tomanka finished +3 (75) to finish tied for 30th, while Lindsay May (T-70) and Gracyn Burgess (T-96) round out the Tigers’ participants.
