Tigers Set To Kick-Off 2019 Season Against Utah

Clemson, S.C. — Clemson opens the 2019 season this Thursday as they host the Utah Utes at Historic Riggs Field. The Tigers are set to kick off against the Utes at 7 p.m. ET as they ring in their 26th season and the launch of ACC Network.

• Clemson finished the 2018 season with a 12-9 record while maintaining a 6-4 record in conference, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
• Enters the 2019 season as the first team receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll. Clemson earned 73 votes, just three behind the 25th-ranked team.
• Has two upperclassmen named to preseason awards lists (Sandy MacIver — MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List & Mariana Speckmaier — Preseason All-ACC Team).
• Dating to the inaugural season in 1994, Clemson is 23-1-1 when it comes to season openers. At home, the Tigers are 15-0-0.
