AUBURN, Ala. – Tigers power though on the second day of Auburn Invite.

The second day of tournament play brought great results for both Sophia Hatton and Alina Tsyurpalevych in both singles matches.

Hatton defeated Ava Esposito Cogan from Auburn University in a swift match-up 6-2, 6-3. Hatton is set to go up against Holly Staff from Vanderbilt University tomorrow on the final day of the tournament.

Tsyurpalevych had a great day, battling hard against Kaitlin Carnicella from Auburn University in a match that went 7-5, 6-3. Tomorrow, Tsyurpalevych goes up against Margaux Maquet from the University of Alabama.

“We had a great start to our second day with both Sophia and Alina takings victories over Auburn,” Said Head Coach Boomer Saia, “We came ready to go from the first point, and it was impressive to watch our professionalism in big moments. We need to clean a few things up in our doubles, but we are trending better. Our last day tomorrow will be a great opportunity to finish the fall on a high note!”
