The Tigers’ presence was felt around the nation this week as seven former #ClemsonUnited players saw professional action over the weekend.
Tommy McNamara (’13) helped the Houston Dynamos to a 2-1 defeat of the San Jose Earthquakes on April 13 after entering the game in the 64th minute.
Paul Clowes (’15) started for Greenville in a 1-0 win over the Chattanooga Redwolves SC. The 2015 Clemson graduate played all 90 minutes at midfield.
Amadou Dia (’14) started and played a full 90 minutes in Phoenix Rising FC’s 2-0 victory over El Paso On April 13.
Kyle Fisher (’15) posted four tackles and five clearances in Birmingham’s 3-2 victory over St. Louis FC on April 13.
Jack Metcalf (’13) appeared in a pair of games for Atlanta United 2, helping the team to a 1-0 win over Memphis 901 FC and a 2-1 victory over North Carolina FC.
Cody Mizell (’12) tallied three saves in a 5-1 victory for New Mexico United over Real Monarchs SLC. New Mexico United is undefeated on the year with a 3-0 mark thus far in league play.
Kyle Murphy (’15) played all 90 minutes at forward for Loudoun United FC in 2-0 loss to the Ottawa Fury FC on April 13.
