Clemson Notes:

  • The Tigers are 5-5 on the season, and 3-2 in ACC play, and are coming off a 7-0 loss to #16 Virginia in Charlottesville on March 6.
  • Clemson’s No. 3 doubles team of senior Joana Eidukonyte and sophomore Daniela Ruiz is 6-0 on the season, and 4-0 in ACC doubles matches. The duo has won six straight matches since Feb. 20.
  • Freshman Ayan Broomfield is 6-4 in dual matches this season, and 4-2 since moving up to the No. 1 singles position on Feb. 20. Broomfield also has a 3-3 record against nationally-ranked singles players.

Florida State Notes:

  • Florida State is 7-5 on the season and 0-3 in ACC play. The Seminoles most recently lost to Miami by a score of 6-1 in Tallahassee, Fla. on March 2.
  • Clemson has a 31-9 all-time advantage in the series over the Seminoles, which began in 1978.
  • In the last meeting between the two teams, the Tigers won a 4-3 decision over the Seminoles in Tallahassee on Feb. 27. Eidukonyte won her singles match in that contest, while she and Ruiz played together and won at No. 3 doubles.

Syracuse Notes:

  • Syracuse is 8-3 overall and 2-3 in the ACC, and is coming off of a 5-2 loss to NC State in Raleigh on March 6.
  • The Orange face Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Ga. on March 11 before meeting the Tigers on Sunday.
  • Clemson is 2-0 all-time against Syracuse, as the two teams met for the first time in 2014, when the Orange joined the ACC.
  • Last season, the Tigers defeated the Orange 7-0 in Syracuse on March 22, 2015. Eidukonyte (at No. 3), Tristen Dewar (at No. 5) and Ruiz (at No. 6) contributed to the sweep with singles victories.
