Clemson, S.C. — The Clemson women’s tennis team hits the road for the first time this season to compete in a hidden dual tournament hosted by No. 9 Florida State. In addition to the host school, the Tigers will also face opponents from No. 7 Georgia and Miami. It marks the first time this season that the Tigers will face competitors from ranked teams and the first time that Assistant Coach Amy Sargeant returns to her alma mater as a part of the Tiger staff.
Clemson will have the opportunity to face some of the nation’s top athletes as four doubles pairs and 11 individuals are ranked by the ITA. Two doubles teams are ranked within the top-10, No. 7 Victoria Allen/Petra Hule of Florida State and No. 10 Katarina Jokic/Anna Hertel of Georgia. In singles, three players are ranked within the top-30 including No. 2 Estela Perez-Somarriba (Miami), No. 16 Katarina Jokic (Georgia) and No. 27 Giulia Pairone (Florida State).
