CARY, NC – The 10th-ranked and first-seeded Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets defeated #17 Clemson, 4-1, in ACC Semifinal action on Saturday. The three doubles matches were played as scheduled at the Cary Tennis Center in Cary, NC. However, rain forced a delay before the singles contests were able to continue at the indoor courts of the Ambler Tennis Center on the campus of Duke University.

Georgia Tech prevailed to claim the doubles point and a 1-0 lead in the match. The Yellow Jacket team of Kelly Anderson and Whitney McCray defeated Daniela Alvarez and Alexandra Luc, 8-4, at the flight two position. At number three, Tigers Maria Brito and Marie Scriba then posted a win for Clemson with a 9-8 decision over Kacie Anson and Alison Silverio to force the top match to be the decider. The ninth-ranked tandem of Kristi Miller and Lyndsay Shosho clinched the point for Georgia Tech after winning by a narrow 9-7 margin over the #12 team of Carol Salge and Federica van Adrichem.

In singles play, Silverio put the Yellow Jackets ahead 2-0 with a 6-2, 6-0 win over van Adrichem at flight three.
