Clemson Notes:

  • Clemson (5-7, 2-3) is coming off two straight conference wins at home last week, 6-1 vs. Louisville on March 10 and 4-3 vs. Virginia Tech on March 12.
  • Freshman Constanza Gorches was named ACC Player of the Week on March 14 for her performance last week, after undefeated against the Cardinals and Hokies at No. 5 singles and No. 2 doubles, including clinching the Tigers’ 4-3 win over Virginia Tech.
  • On March 7, sophomore Ayan Broomfield earned ACC Player of the Week honors, after recording a top-10 doubles upset vs. Georgia Tech on March 5 and a singles upset over fourth-ranked Sara Daavettila of North Carolina on March 3.
  • Clemson has faced three opponents ranked in the top six in the nation and four ranked in the top 25 so far this season.
  • Clemson’s 2017 roster is made up of one junior, five sophomores and two freshmen.
  • Head Coach Nancy Harris is in her 20th season with the Tigers. In her first 19 seasons at the helm of the program, Harris took the Tigers to the NCAA Tournament 17 times, including 15-consecutive years from 2002-16.

Series Information at Syracuse:

  • Clemson is 3-0 all-time against Syracuse, as the two teams met for the first time in 2014, when the Orange joined the ACC.
  • Last season, the Tigers upset then 30th-ranked Syracuse 4-3 on March 13, 2016. Current Tigers Broomfield and Ally Miller-Krasilnikov won singles matches at No. 1 and No. 4, respectively.

Series Information vs. Pittsburgh:

  • Clemson has a 3-0 lead in the series against Pittsburgh.
