Tigers Face Paladins In the First Round of the Men’s NCAA Soccer

CLEMSON, SC-The second seeded Clemson Tiger soccer team will play host to the Furman Paladins tomorrow November 19 at Historic Riggs Field in the First Round of the Men’s NCAA Soccer Tournament.

Clemson enters with a record of 13-3-2 overall, having won five of their last six games to finish out the regular season and the ACC Tournament. Furman comes into the contest with a 17-3-2 record overall, with their latest victory being a 2-0 win over Radford this past Sunday, November 12, in an NCAA play-in game. The Paladins won the Southern Conference regular season and tournament crowns.

The Tigers are led in scoring by Mark Lisi who has totaled 34 points on 13 goals and 8 assists. Fabio ranks a close second behind Lisi with 33 points (14 goals and 5 assists). Tambosi’s 14 goals are tops on the squad. Pablo Webster is the team leader in assists with 11 while Ross Goodacre has nine assists, for second on the team.

The Paladins are led in scoring by John Barry Nusum who has 48 total points on the season. He is also the team leader in goals with 18 and is second on the team in assists with 12. McNeil Cronin leads Furman with 13 assists.

Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
